Using Jamplay To Learn How To Play Guitar
Let me start this article by saying Jamplay has really impressed me with quality. They provide the highest quality guitar video training I’ve seen anywhere online. This gives me the best possible learning how to play your guitar experience and is certainly better than any I’ve had to this point.
All the Jamplay guitar lessons I’ve seen so far have all been recorded in a studio for quality and high definition video.
Now I do use Youtube a lot but not for learning the how to play guitar so much but more for finding the newest songs so I can put into practice what I have learned at Jamplay. I don’t find the quality so great on Youtube and most are not professionals but I love learning new songs from them.
Learn How To Play Guitar From Pros
Yesterday I was watching some of the free videos available from the pros at Jamplay. It’s such a great way to evaluate the quality each teacher has. In life there are just some people that doesn’t fit you personally so it’s great to have so many great teachers to choose from, whether you want to learn how to play acoustic guitar or electric guitar.
I have a hard time learning new things and really do much better when I can learn by example but to do that I need to be able to see exactly what’s going on. That doesn’t always happen when I use Youtube.
This is why Jamplay is so cool. I get to see instructors hands up close and in high-def so I don’t have to guess what their fingers are doing, on either hand. I learn so much faster and with less frustration on my part.
Learning Wasn’t Easy or Fun, At First
Initially my learning how to play the guitar experience was a horrible. I really wanted to learn to play so I hired a local guitar instructor. That didn’t go so well. He was arrogant and had no patience.
Well he didn’t actually say anything out loud but his mannerisms and body language said it all. After just 3 lessons I told him I was interested any more and asked him not to bother returning. I really wanted to just slap him upside his fat head. He wasn’t fat by the way.
I went a long time before ever trying to learn to play guitar again but once the Internet became available to me I soon started looking for ways to learn how to play guitar without one on one in person training.
Eventually I found Jamplay and started looking at all the professionals there for both acoustic as well as electric guitar. I have an Yamaha acoustic guitar so I was of course interested in teachers, 14 of them actually, in the acoustic teachers section.
I just clicked on the first teacher in the acoustic section, Hawkeye Herman. They are all listed bottom right of the main page. I wanted to learn more about him.
The information was great but also, right after his qualifications there is a list of the courses he teaches to Jamplay members. There is also a tab in his section to show the songs he uses to teach blues to his students. I think he has 142 lesson and that’s not counting any other teachers. And Hawkeye Herman is just one of the many teachers.
If you’re interested in learning guitar and don’t want to be messing around taking years to learn, like I was doing, then get on over to Jamplay.com Beginner Guitar Lessons Online and see what they can do to make you a better guitar player.
