James MannThat’s me in the picture. I found a hat my wife bought at the Salvation Army outlet. She was looking for things she could wear in the church Christmas program she’s part of. So before she catches me with her new hat I better say “Howdy from the east coast of Canada” and put it back where it was.

As you can see I’m not 20 any more, getting awful close to 60 actually. It was around age 20 I first tried learning how to play acoustic guitar. It didn’t go the way I planned and I gave up and then gave my guitar away.

Fast forward a quater of a century and you’d find me with a wife and family but still no guitar. I was a computer instructor for 20 of those years and was now 47. I had no idea at that time that guitar was coming back into my life.

I was actually taking that picture to show on my home gardening tips blog and even sent it off to Fivrr.com to have someone make a caricature for me. I like it so much I am sending a picture of me playing guitar and see what she sends me back. I was thinking about sending the image below. It was taken right after I allowed my son to cut my hair.

You know life’s short no matter how long you live.
